Our family has known Mrs. Hall for many years. She is a wonderful Christian woman and mother and an outstanding instructor of piano for children. I have known Mrs. Hall for nearly 23 years, as she was my elementary/middle school music teacher. I first enrolled for piano lessons in the second grade, and I have never looked back. I currently play the piano professionally as well as using it as a tool to benefit local charities. I believe Mrs. Hall to be a truly wonderful mentor.

I can honestly say that my talents were developed and sharpened because she is such a versatile teacher. There are few classically trained pianists that can also play contemporary/modern songs by ear and chord charts according to needs of the situation. The modern songs helped to perk my interest in music while the classical songs honed my skills. I have rarely seen someone who can sight read and improvise equally as she can.

Over the years, I have often been asked where I learned to play and what made me maintain my musical interest. I always refer them to Mrs. Hall, although her popularity made for low odds of an open spot.

Using the knowledge she passed down to me, I was able to become an accomplished musician as well as a member of LSU's marching band. Because this arena is where I eventually met my wife, I consider taking lessons from Mrs. Hall to have been "life changing" to say the least.

Mrs. Hall has taught our children for three years. We wish she did not have to leave. We had a hard time finding a teacher as good and as pleasant as her. She is a very capable and self-confident instructor who keeps her students disciplined and interested in piano. She always encourages them and she pushes them to work harder in a friendly way. My kids respect her and love her, but do not fear her, and this is very important. We highly recommend her and wish she did not have to leave. Of course, she did this for family reasons and this by itself reflects her values. It is worth mentioning that she helped us, and I am sure that she also help some other families, to find new piano teachers. My son has taken piano lessons from "Ms Corky" for five years; and it has always been the highlight of his week to spend 30 minutes with her. She is such an encourager, unlike other piano teachers we have had in the past with my older boys. She expects her students to do their best while at the same time motivating them to that end. My son has learning disabilities and Mrs. Hall put great effort in finding ways to teach to his strengths and encourage him providing music that he enjoyed, yet was challenging. She is an extraordinary teacher and person.
